FAQ’S
  1. 1. What is the purpose of this integration?

The integration allows you to automatically send **SMS notifications** (to the visitor and/or admin) when a form built with **Contact Form 7** is submitted, using SMS Alert’s gateway.

  2. 2. How do I set up the visitor (user) SMS notification part?

    1. In WordPress, go to your **Contact Form 7 form → open or edit it**.
    2. Ensure the form has a **mobile number field**.
    3. Under the **SMS Alert tab** for that form, go to **Visitor SMS Notifications**.
    4. Select your mobile-number field from the dropdown.
    5. Then write your SMS message body (you can use the form’s **field-tokens**).
    6. Save.

  3. 3. How do I set up the admin SMS notification?

    1. While still editing the Contact Form 7 form, go to its **SMS Alert tab → Admin SMS Notifications**.
    2. **Enter the admin’s mobile number(s)** in the given field.
    3. **Write the SMS message body** that you want the admin to receive on each submission.
    4. **Save** the form to activate.

  4. 4. Can I automatically add the form submitters into an SMS Alert contact group?

Yes — the configuration section titled **Create Contacts in SMS Alert Group** allows you to do that:
    1. In the form’s SMS Alert tab, go to **Create Contacts in SMS Alert Group**.
    2. **Select the SMS Alert group** you want to add contacts into.
    3. **Map the form’s Name field** (via token) so the contact is stored properly.
    4. **Save changes**.

  5. 5. What should the form include for mobile number capturing?

You must include a field in your Contact Form 7 form for **user mobile number** (for example: `[tel* your-mobile]` or equivalent). This is necessary for the visitor notification and contact-group addition to work. The mobile-field must map correctly in the SMS Alert settings.

  6. 6. Are there any prerequisites or plugin compatibility considerations?

    – Ensure you have **installed and activated the SMS Alert plugin** for WordPress (so the integration tab appears).
    – Ensure you also have a **working SMS Alert account** and credentials configured in the plugin settings (so SMS can be sent).
    – Make sure the Contact Form 7 version and your theme are compatible with the plugin.
    – Double-check your mobile number format and country code if needed — mismatches may cause delivery issues.

  7. 7. What should I do if notifications do not appear to be sent?

    – **Verify** you selected the correct mobile number field under Visitor SMS and entered a valid admin number.
    – Ensure the **SMS message bodies are saved** properly and the plugin settings (**account credentials**) are configured.
    – If contacts are not added to the group, verify you selected a valid SMS Alert group and mapped the Name field.
    – As a last step, contact **SMS Alert support** or check their knowledge-base for troubleshooting.
