FAQ’S
  1. 1. What is this integration about?

It shows how to connect **Fluent Forms** (a WordPress form-builder plugin) with **SMS Alert** so that you can send **SMS notifications** (to users/visitors and/or admins) when a form is submitted.

  2. 2. What do I need to do first (for Customer Notification)?

    1. In WordPress, **create your form** using Fluent Forms.
    2. Add a **numeric field** in the form for the phone number (so SMS Alert knows where to send the message).
    3. In the WordPress admin go to **SMS Alert → Fluent Form → Customer Notifications**. Enable your form, expand its configuration section, and select the numeric phone field you created.

  3. 3. How do I enable Admin Notification?

    1. Navigate to **SMS Alert → Fluent Form → Admin Notifications**.
    2. There you can configure the settings for the admin to receive SMS when the form is submitted (e.g., **set admin mobile number, configure template**) and then save changes.

  4. 4. What must the phone number field be like?

The phone number field should be a **numeric field** in Fluent Forms (i.e., a field type that captures numeric/mobile input). This ensures the SMS Alert module can identify it for sending SMS.

  5. 5. Is this setup optional or mandatory for each form?

It’s **optional for each form** in that you choose which forms you enable for SMS Alert notifications (both customer and admin). But to get SMS notifications for a form submission, you must **enable the form** in the relevant SMS Alert tab and **select the phone field**.

  6. 6. What happens if I skip selecting the phone number field or don’t enable the form?

If the numeric phone field is not created in the form or not selected in SMS Alert’s settings, then **SMS notifications (to the customer/visitor) will not correctly identify the recipient number and may fail**. Likewise, if the form isn’t enabled, no SMS will be triggered.

  7. 7. Why is this integration beneficial for a website?

    – Enables **automatic SMS notification** to users/customers after form submission, improving engagement and feedback.
    – Enables **admin notifications** when a form is filled, helping you stay updated.
    – Captures valid mobile numbers (via the numeric field) and **integrates with SMS workflows**.
