FAQ’S
  1. 1. What does this integration allow me to do?

The integration enables you to send SMS notifications to members (customers) of your MemberMouse-powered site — for example when their membership is added, changed, or payment/refund happens. It also allows you to send reminder SMS messages before membership expiry.

  2. 2. What are the key steps to set it up?

    1. In WordPress, navigate to the SMS Alert plugin settings for MemberMouse.
    2. Enable the SMS notification to the customer and modify the SMS content.
    3. For reminders: select how many days before expiry you want the reminder SMS to be sent.
    4. Save Changes.

  3. 3. Which events are supported by this integration?

    The currently supported events are:
    – When new member is added (membership created)
    – When membership status is changed
    – When membership level is changed
    – When a new bundle is added
    – When bundle status is changed
    – When payment is changed
    – When payment is refunded

  4. 4. Can I send multiple reminder SMS at different times before expiry?

Yes — you are able to schedule multiple reminder SMS to customers with different SMS templates at different days’ intervals before expiring membership (e.g., 7 days before expiry, and another 2 days before).

  5. 5. What should I check if SMS messages are not being sent?

    Troubleshooting steps:
    – Ensure that in the SMS Alert plugin, for the MemberMouse integration you have enabled the desired events.
    – Confirm the SMS content templates are filled in and saved.
    – Verify that the reminder settings (days before expiry) are configured and saved.
    – Make sure your SMS Alert account is active, has credits, and sender ID / routing is set up correctly.
    – Check that the membership events are actually firing in MemberMouse.
    – Ensure that the phone number field for the member is properly captured and mapped.
    – If your country has SMS/DLT regulations, ensure sender ID registration and template approval are done.

  6. 6. Are there any special considerations or limitations?

    – It may not cover every custom event if you customized MemberMouse heavily.
    – Because reminders are scheduled, ensure your cron tasks or scheduled jobs are working on your WordPress site, or the reminders may not fire.
    – SMS costs: since membership sites may have frequent status changes, monitor your SMS budget.
    – Regulatory compliance: ensure proper sender ID and template registration (via DLT etc.).
    – Testing: Always test the flow (create membership, change status, wait for reminder, etc) before going live.

  7. 7. Is this integration suitable for both customer (“member”) and admin notifications?

The article focuses primarily on sending SMS to the customer/member side (“Steps to send sms notification to user”). If you also want admin notifications (when membership events happen), you may need to check the general SMS Alert settings or the MemberMouse integration settings to see if admin SMS templates are available.
