FAQ’S
  1. 1. What does this integration allow me to do?

It enables you to sync site users with SMS Alert groups and send SMS messages (via SMS Alert) when using WP Fusion to manage user data or trigger group membership.

  2. 2. What are the prerequisite steps before configuration?

    – You must have both WP Fusion and SMS Alert plugins active on your WordPress site.
    – A phone/mobile number must be captured in the user data (so SMS Alert knows where to send).
    – In WP Fusion you must configure integration settings under the CRM → SMSAlert section.

  3. 3. How do I set it up (basic configuration)?

    1. In WordPress go to WP Fusion → CRM → SMSAlert.
    2. Select an SMS Alert “Group” to map users into, then click Save.
    3. Go to Contact Fields, select the phone field (e.g., “billing_phone”) and map it accordingly.
    4. In Advanced → Operation choose “Export users” to create background tasks to sync existing users into the SMS Alert group.

  4. 4. Which user field must be mapped for SMS delivery?

You need to select the mobile/phone number field in WP Fusion’s Contact Fields mapping and ensure it corresponds to the correct user meta key (for example billing_phone).

  5. 5. Is this integration limited to new users only?

No — the “Export users” background task allows existing site users to be exported/synced into the selected SMS Alert group via WP Fusion.

  6. 6. What should I check if SMS messages are not being sent via this integration?

    Troubleshooting steps:
    – Ensure the SMS Alert plugin is configured correctly (API credentials, sender ID, balance).
    – Confirm that the mobile/phone field is correctly captured and mapped in WP Fusion.
    – Verify that users are successfully added to the selected SMS Alert group (via export or trigger).
    – Make sure that the group mapping in WP Fusion → SMSAlert settings is saved.
    – If your SMS setup involves DLT/sender-ID regulation (e.g., India), ensure those are correctly handled.

  7. 7. Are there any special considerations or limitations?

    – This integration focuses on grouping users and syncing them into SMS Alert; it may not cover custom event-triggered SMS templates (you might need to combine with SMS Alert templating or other plugins).
    – Mapping a correct phone field is essential—if it’s missing or incorrect, SMS delivery will fail.
    – Depending on your site’s user base size, the background export task may take time or affect performance.
    – If you want advanced behaviour (e.g., send SMS on user role change, purchase, tag applied) you might need to set up additional workflows in WP Fusion or SMS Alert.
