For online marketplaces, it has become a necessity to inform sellers/vendors about the new orders placed for their products, in order to ensure they dispatch the goods timely. SMS Alert ensures to handle this need perfectly for most multi-vendor plugins including dokan multivendor marketplace, WC marketplace, etc.
In woocommerce products are stored as posts, and post creators are referred as post authors. So for a marketplace vendors creates a product and so we call vendor’s as post authors.
In Order to send SMS to vendors, please follow the below steps
- Navigate to SMS Alert plugin General Settings
- Select Send Admin SMS to Post Author
- Click on Save Changes

- Ensure the vendors have their phone number correctly in Billing Phone field.
- You can send sms to both admin and seller, by selecting post author and then adding admin number manually
